Yesterday i install Windows Seven beta version. I like the visual appearance too much. I noticed one thing that Windows 7 team places a Send Feedback link in the top right corner of every opened windows titlebar. I am writing here a simple tutorial which will guide you to remove the ’send feedback’ link in very few easy steps.

Follow the simple steps to remove the link :

Step 1 : Go to Start > Run > Enter Regedit

Step 2 : Navigate to the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.

Step 3 : Right-click on the right pane and select New -> DWORD (32-bit) value. Name the new value FeedbackToolEnabled and set it’s value to 0.

Step 4 : Restart your machine.

Once you do this all of the “Send Feedback” links will be removed from the Windows 7 title bars.

1. Google Mobile

Google Mobile is an all-in-one package combining Google’s excellent mobile apps (Gmail, Google Maps, and Google Sync) with links to Google’s mobile-optimized web services (search, Picasa, Reader, Docs, Google Notebook, etc.). Although Blackberry’s already handle email fairly well, I find the Gmail application a much more comfortable way to access email. The Maps application does everything you can do with Google Maps on your PC (search, get directions, switch to satellite view, and so on), plus it will use either the nearest cell tower or, if you have a GPS-enabled phone, GPS to pinpoint your location. The Sync app lets you do a two-way synchronization between the calendar on your Blackberry and Google Calendar. The rest of the links open services in Blackberry’s integrated web browser, although in some cases with limited functions compared to their PC-based equivalents (Google Docs, for example, are read-only). All in all, this is an incredible piece of productivity software, one I use probably a dozen times a day.

2. iSkoot

iSkoot puts the power of Skype on your mobile phone. You can send and receive voice calls to and from other Skype users or using SkypeIn and SkypeOut services, and believe it or not the sound quality is pretty good, even on AT&T’s slow 2G network. iSkoot gets all your contacts from Skype, making it a breeze to use. Of course, you can also IM with text. Calls received are handled by the Blackberry exactly like traditional cell calls, using the same controls and the same ringtone, so it’s really indistinguishable from using your mobile phone normally. I have a SkypeIn phone number for my professional life; iSkoot lets me stay connected even when I’m away from my computer.

3. Viigo

Although I generally use Google Reader for my RSS feeds, Viigo is a nice alternative – and adds several nice options Google Reader (and most other RSS readers) don’t. The new beta lets you set up weather, sports, finance, and travel alerts, get updates from local Kijiji classifieds (if it serves your area), even get free book feeds from DailyLit. And there’s even a space – inactive for now – for podcast feeds, which developers promise will be enabled soon, letting you download your favorite audio podcasts over the air. All this in a beautiful and very easy-to-use interface – what more could you ask for?

4. BeeTag

This is a new addition to my Blackberry and, I admit, one that I haven’t found much use for yet – but it’s only a matter of time. The app is called BeeTag, and it is a 2-D barcode reader that uses your Blackberry’s camera to scan those square-shaped codes (like the one next to this paragraph) that are popping up on more and more products, as well as in ads and other places. Already huge in Japan, these 2-D codes can contain a URL, product information, or other material; BeeTag reads the code and sends you to the website indicated or displays the text. Even though you have to get quite close to fill the frame enough for BeeTag to read it – which means a blurry image – BeeTag could read everything I threw at it, including codes captured from my laptop’s screen.

5. Vlingo

Voice-enable your Blackberry with Vlingo, which goes beyond voice-dialing to voice-texting and even voice-emailing. Vlingo takes over one of your Blackberry’s application keys (my Curve has two, one on each side; I’ve assigned it to the one on the right, the one that controls the camera by default). Hold the key down, say a command, and Vlingo goes to work. For example, I say “Send email to Bob Smith subject You’re an idiot Message You forgot to take the coffee off your car’s roof as you drove away” and Vlingo creates an email reading “You forgot to take the coffee off your car’s roof as you drove away” with the subject line “You’re an idiot” and the email address from Bob Smith from my Blackberry’s address book. You can search the web, update your Facebook status, create tasks and memos, even open built-in applications and a handful of third-party Vlingo-enabled apps, all using your voice.

6. WebMessenger

You can IM through Skype using iSkoot, but if your contacts aren’t mainly on Skype, WebMessenger allows you to chat on just about any major IM network: AOL, Google, ICQ, Jabber, MSN, Skype, and Yahoo. Contact lists are imported from the appropriate service, and just like a full chat client, you can see who’s online, set your status, and of course chat all you want. You’ll need to set up a master login account with WebMessenger; after that, it will stay logged in and run in the background.

7. Mobipocket Reader

Blackberry screens aren’t the best for e-book reading – that’s one thing I miss about my old Palm Zire 72, with its great big color screen – but Mobipocket Reader makes the best of what it has to work with, providing a decent if not brilliant reading experience. The .mobi file format is becoming the de facto e-book standard for mobile devices, so there are lots of titles available for purchase, as well as the normal range of classic texts available for free. Or you can convert PDFs or Word files on your PC and transfer them over. The program is easy to use and fairly easy to read, though not many lines fit on the Blackberry’s screen at once. You can also add annotations, although strangely you can’t add bookmarks to return easily to important passages. Still, Mobipocket lets me keep a couple of e-books available for those times when I get caught with time to kill and nothing to do, and for that I’m grateful.

8. Twitterberry

Blackberry’s are great for sending text messages, so of course they’re great for sending tweets on Twitter. Twitterberry makes it easy, letting you access your friend’s timelines – collectively or individually – as well as all your replies and direct messages. Of course, sending messages is a piece of cake, too. My only complaint is that messages are previewed, with only the first 40 characters or so visible in each timeline screen, so you have to click them individually to read them in their entirety. Even with that, though, Twitterberry is still a far better experience than using the Twitter site through the Blackberry’s slow browser.

9. Poynt

Poynt is a slick local search app now in beta for the Blackberry. Poynt does local yellow page searches so you can find businesses near you, and has an excellent movie listings feature that lets you find movies near you, theaters near you, or browse by genre or review the current top 10. You can enter your location manually or, if your phone has GPS, let Poynt pinpoint your location automatically. Poynt also integrates with Blackberry Maps to provide directions – alas, AT&T, in its infinite wisdom, has determined that I (and the rest of its customers) should not use Blackberry Maps. I’m sure it’s very cool…

Fortunately, Google Mobile includes Google Maps so I can get all the directions I need!

10. Facebook

You like Facebook, right? C’mon, admit it – you want to Facebook all the time. And well you should – you have a Blackberry, after all! The Facebook app makes it easy to send messages, see your updates, and poke poke poke all day long, and that’s pretty darn important, isn’t it?

1) Tab Mix Plus (TMP)

Tab Mix Plus is probably the best, if not, one of the best Firefox tabs extension around. It extends your tab function in many way that you never think is possible. With TMP, you can duplicate tabs, control tab focus, tab clicking options, undo closed tabs and windows, and many more useful features. In fact, if you take a look at the database of Firefox extension, some of the tab extensions have long been included as a feature in TMP.

Alternative to TMP: Tab kit

If you don’t like TMP for the reason that it conflicts with some other extension, a great alternative will be Tab Kit. Tab Kit is another extension that gives you a great deal of control over your tabs. It allows you to group your tabs according to domain or parent tab and arrange your tabs in multiple rows. You can also shift your tab bar to the top/left/right of the window and also copy/paste/duplicate group of tabs by dragging. Tab kit is not compatible with TMP.

2) TooManyTabs

TooManyTabs is an experimental Firefox addon. It allows you store up to over 50 tabs without cluttering up your tab bar. TooManyTabs uses an extra rows just below your bookmark bar to store the tabs. Whenever you move a tab to TooManyTabs, the memory is freed up and can be allocated for other use. This helps to prevent your Firefox from consuming too much memory from idling tabs.

3) Quick Drag

Quick Drag is an extension of the popular SuperDragAndGo extension. You can easily drag and drop any images, highlight texts or links within the browser to open them in new tab. When highlighted texts are dragged and dropped, it will perform a Web search with the selected text on a new tab. Dragging and dropping an image will save the image to your Desktop.

4) Tab Split Tab

Opera users will know that you can easily split the browser into vertical, horizontal, cascade tiles for viewing of multiple tabs concurrently. Tab Split Tab is an experimental addon that aims to fulfill the same window splitting task in Opera. At the moment, you can split your Firefox browser into two and view multiple sites in one page.

5) Morning Coffee

Morning coffee allows you to bookmark your frequently visit sites and open them all with one click. What is unique about this extension is that it allows you to choose which bookmarks to open on each day. There might be some sites that are updated weekly and you don’t want to visit them every day. By defining the day that you want to visit the sites, Morning Coffee adds the sites to the appropriate day and load them all up when that day arrives.

6) Tab Catalog

Tab catalog displays a thumbnail of all the tab on a canvas so that you can choose and load up the tab you want. This is useful when you have too many opened tab and can’t make out which is which. There are several ways to display the thumbnail canvas, either press Ctrl + tab, mouseover the Tab-Catalog button or press the view all tab button at the right of the tab bar.

Alternative to Tab Catalog: Firefox Showcase

Firefox showcase is another extension that displays a thumbnail of all the opened tab. You can choose to load the thumbnail in a new tab, or in a new window. Though functionally the same as Tab catalog, Firefox showcase does provide you with more configuration options to personalize your thumbnail, such as setting the size, thumbnail caching, thumbnail updating time etc.

7) Aging Tab

This extension make the inactive tab fade as time passes and at the same time highlight the active tab making it more distinguishable. Custom colors can be configured for the aged and active tab.

Alternative to Aging Tab: Colorful Tab

Colorful Tabs paints each tab with different color and make them easy to distinguish. The latest version comes with a default black background that many come to hate. Luckily, one can easily switch off the background from the Preferences page.

Fish Eye Tab

If you open too many tabs at one time (more than 20), you will find that each of your tab become barely visible. What Fish Eye Tab does is to zoom and expand each tab to display the tab label as you mouseover it. Fish Eye Tab is activated only when the number of tabs exceed the width of the Firefox window.

9) FaviconizeTab

This extension replace the usual tab with the site favicon, thus reducing the width of the tab. With FaviconizeTab, you can squeeze more tabs into the tab bar without it looking messy and untidy.

10) Source Viewer Tab (for web developer)

This last one is actually my personal favorite. Being someone who did a lot of coding, I find it a chore to switch between windows just to view the source of a Web page. This Source Viewer Tab is able to open the source in a tab rather than in a new window.

I see a lot of Windows users always complaining that their pc has slowed down drastically and they need a new PC. Upgrading the PC is always a viable option for better performance, but here are things that you can do to keep your PC healthy and i am sure this will help you to make your PC faster.

The last time u installed Windows it worked very smoothly on your first boot right? The boot process was faster, applications were running quickly and smoothly, no errors. • Enable the auto update mode for better security.
• Run regular scans (weekly scheduled scanning recommended).

2. Defragmenting Hard drives:

The files when moved or created on your PC are stored into small fragments randomly on your disk drive. When you open those files it takes time to gather all those chunks and put them back together to form that single file. When you defragment your drive all those scattered fragments are arranged properly on the drive thus loading application bit faster. There is a Disk Defragmenter utility in windows,

Open My Computer > Right click on the disk drive you want to defragment > Select Properties > Under Tools tab click Defragment Now. But i recommend Power Defragmenter a small free utility by sysinternals which is faster and with various options.

3. Clean Registry:

Windows registry is a database of information of all the files, folders and the windows configuration. This database grows as you use windows, can also become erroneous. Thus, it becomes necessary to clean and repair registry errors regularly. Use CCleaner a tiny Freeware to scan and fix registry issues.

4. Delete Temporary, Junk and Obsolete files/Clear cache:

Clean all your drives for free space, i personally recommend keep atleast 20% of your drive space free. Also, you have to clear the windows TEMP files, the web browsers temporary files, caches files, etc. All web browsers has that option. CCleaner will be a good choice for the same, it will analyze and clean all unwanted internet files, Windows Explorer files and system files.

5. Check Disk for errors:

Scan your disk for errors regularly. There may be some lost fragments or links which may lead to error in application. Run Scandisk once a week to keep things running smoothly. the error checking utility in windows will scan and attempt to recover bad sectors. Open My Computer > Right click the drive > Properties > Tools > click Check Now Button. Else simply type chkdsk /r at the command prompt.

6. Remove Startup items:

Removing unwanted startup programs will speedup the windows boot process and your desktop will be ready quickly. some programs like Limewire or MSN messenger take time to load at startup, you can remove those and run them when needed.to remove Startup items: Start > Run > type msconfig > press OK. Now in the System Configuration Utility uncheck the unwanted programs (better Disable All).

7. Remove unnecessary Programs:

Remove those programs which you don’t use anymore. This will free disk space and even help windows perform better. Also, remove the windows unwanted components like Indexing services & Outlook Express from the Add/Remove windows programs.

8. Keep PC updated:

Look for regular updates, Enable Windows Updates, Updates includes major bugfixes which can be helpful. Look for new Service packs for better hardware compatibility. Update all device drivers, anti-virus programs and other applications. Hardware Manufactures keep updating their device drivers for better and smooth functioning. I have written earlier on a Free Software To Update Windows Device Drivers do read that.

9. Remove unwanted visual effects:

The animated windows and fading menus can slow down your pc unknowingly. You can remove those fading effects, Use windows classic style theme, remove the heavy graphic wallpaper(none), You can even lower the color quality( to medium 16-Bit) and lower the screen resolution. Lower the screen resolution, better the performance.

Replace all those resource consuming programs and look for better alternatives, especially for those who have RAM less then 512 and an old PIII machine.

use Lightweight antivirus programs like NOD32, AVG instead of Norton Antivirus.

1. Process Explorer: This is the most popular replacement to the Windows Task Manager. Ask anybody and this is first tool they would recommend to you. Process Explorer is a free program created by Sysinternals (and later acquired by Microsoft) which is a great tool for system monitoring and debugging software.

The Process Explorer display consists of two sub-windows. The top window always shows a list of the currently active processes, including the names of their owning accounts, whereas the information displayed in the bottom window depends on the mode that Process Explorer is in: if it is in handle mode you’ll see the handles that the process selected in the top window has opened.

2. DTaskManager is another good Task Manager replacement with an interface similar to Windows Task Manager but with lots of additional functionalities. Here is brief description from the publisher:

• Three different ways to close a process, as the “termination request”, the standard “forced termination” with dialogue tolerance, and the “forced termination” of any type of process, bypassing all permissions (it can also terminate running system processes).
• DTaskManager allows you to suspend and reactivate a process (as in Linux). This is useful, for example, to temporarily suspend a task that uses system resources when you don’t want to terminate it (such as a DivX encoding process).
• DTaskManager allows you to select more than one process at a time, and terminate all of them “simultaneously”.

3. MKN TaskExplorer is an advanced process management tool that shows detailed information about each process, including performance and memory graphs, DLLs loaded, threads, and access token. It also shows the information about the handles opened by a process and provides a function to read processes’ virtual memory.

TaskExplorer provides a function to stop and resume the execution of processes. There is an option where you can even force a process out of the physical memory. It can also stop, resume and terminate single threads in processes and can create a stack trace for each threads, which can be helpful for debugging purposes.

4. Free Extended Task Manager is an application that upgrades Windows existing Task Manager with new functionalities and features.

• The new “Disk I/O” chart allows you to monitor which applications utilize most of your disk at the moment.
• The network port monitoring feature allows you to see who is connected to your computer and from which IP address, and who you are connecting to.
• It features another useful ability to locate Windows processes that lock a specific file. For example if you are unable to delete or rename a file, you can quickly find how it is used and possibly exit or kill the application that locks it.
• It adds a new tab called “Summary” that allows you to quickly assess the overall state of the Windows system
• It allows freezing individual Windows processes

5. AnVir Task Manager is more than a task manager – it’s a Swiss-army knife for your operating system that allow you to control, optimize and defend all the processes that occur on your PC. It includes a process and startup manager, spyware removal tool, performance tweaker, processes, services and DLLs, drivers manager.

From the system tray, you can view CPU usage and disk load, quickly access the last launched programs, change process priority or permanently block undesired processes. It’s a good program but with a horribly cluttered interface which has almost ruined this application. If we could only tone down it’s interface and the colors this would have been a fine tool.

Microsoft Windows provides us with an Auto-Play feature, which allows your CD Roms , USB Flash Drives to begin playing automatically upon their insertion. This is true whether you insert an Audio CD , Data CD or USB. In the case of inserting an Audio CD, the first song will begin playing automatically. This is an easy way to get to the folders on your system without having to open a Windows Explorer every time you want to access files. I find it very useful to have this feature as it allows me to access my Folders and Drives immediately and saves me a lot of time.So i am sharing this trick with you.

Follow the simple steps:

1. Right Click an empty spot on your Taskbar (Between your Start Button and your System Tray).
2. Click Toolbars.
3. Click New Toolbar.

4. A Small Window will Open that allows you to pick the folder you wish to make a Toolbar. If you want to access your Desktop Without having to minimize all your windows. Just Pick Desktop. If you want to access ONLY your My Documents Folder, Select that. Any folder will work for this.
5. Click OK.

The following is a guide on how to change your IP in 60 seconds or less. This can be used if your IP has been banned from a game server, or on gunbound if your IP get’s blocked. This trick works successfully on Windows XP and Windows 2000.

1. Click on “Start” in the bottom left hand corner of screen

3. Type in “command” and hit ok

You should now be at an MSDOS prompt screen.

You should now be on a screen with something titled “Local Area Connection“, or something close to that, and, if you have a network hooked up, all of your other networks.

9. Double-click on the “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” from the list under the “General” tab
10. Click on “Use the following IP address” under the “General” tab

2) Label hiding and showing
You now have control over which of your labels show. We’ve done our best to get you started by automatically showing the labels you use most and hiding the rest. Label hiding is my favorite new feature, since it saves me from having to look through labels I rarely use. If I ever need to reach any of my old labels, I just click the “more” link.

You can show, hide, or delete a label by clicking the down-arrow to the left of that label.

If you want to make a lot of changes at once, go to the Labels tab under Settings where you can edit labels in bulk.

For those of you who created label names like _stuff or ++todo++ to force your most-used labels to the top of the list (come on, you know who you are, I did it too…), you don’t have to come up with clever tricks like that anymore

3) Drag and drop
You can now drag messages into labels, just like you can with folders. This does the exact same thing as “Move to” — it labels and archives in one step.

You can drag labels onto messages too. It’s the same thing as using the “Label” button. To label or move many messages at once, first select the messages and then drag and drop the label.

It’s also possible to drag labels into the “more” menu to hide them and vice versa. If you only want to move a couple labels around, I’ve found it quicker than going to Settings.

Step 2: Open sysoc.inf an look for the following line in the [Components] section:

msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7

Remove “hide” so that the commas sit next to one another. This is what it should look like now:

msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,,7

And you’re done editing! Save the file and quit.

Step 3: Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Add / Remove Windows Components and you should see “Windows Messenger” on the list. Check the box next to it to remove it.

Trick 2 :

1. Go to START, Click RUN
2. Copy and paste the following: RunDll32 advpack.dll, LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf, BLC.Remove
3. Click ok.Enjoy.

When a post on your blog does better than others there are numerous things that I’d encourage you to consider doing - only one of which is writing more posts on that topic.

KEY LESSON - The first thing to realize is that ‘hot’ or popular posts on your blog are not only important because of the traffic that they are currently bringing in - but they’re actually more important because of what they could potentially do to improve and grow your whole blog. Most of what follows is about leveraging a hot post to grow your blog.

10 ways to Optimize a Popular Post on Your Blog

1. Analyze the Source of Traffic

The first thing that I’d highly recommend you do when you realize that one post on your blog is attracting more traffic than others is to spend some time analyzing the source of the traffic. Where it’s coming from will determine what actions you need to take next.

• Is the traffic coming from search engines? If so, you’ll want to do some SEO on the post. You should also do some analysis of what keywords people are searching for that drives them to the post.
• Is the traffic coming from social media? If so, it’ll be more temporary so you’ll want to act fast and concentrate on converting visitors to subscribers.
• Is the traffic coming from another blog or site? If so you’ll need to act quickly, concentrate on getting subscribers but also build a relationship with the other site.
• Why does the post work? - this is an important question to ask yourself, particularly if you’re looking to write more posts like it. Is it the title of the post, is it the topic, is it the voice you wrote it in?

The more information you have on where the traffic is from and why it’s landing on your post the better equipped you’ll be to decide which of the following strategies you should take next.

2. On Page SEO

If point #1 shows you that traffic is coming to the post from search engines you are in luck. Search engine traffic is wonderful because it has the potential to send your post traffic every day for years to come. However don’t just sit back and feel good about yourself - ask yourself how you can take the traffic to the next level and drive even more search engine traffic to it!

One of the things you will want to do is optimize the post for search engines even more than it already is. Obviously you’ve done something right in terms of SEO - but how can you improve it even more?

Knowing the keywords that the post is doing well for in SE’s is important here. Once you know this you can highlight them to the search engine bots by bolding them, adding them to your post to increase keyword density, adding images that have those words as their name and in alt tags, adding them in headings etc. Don’t ’stuff’ your post with the words - but finding ways to naturally build them into your post can help it rank even higher for those words.

Again - don’t over do this. You’re already ranking well so just tweak the post a little.

3. Off Page SEO

The other thing you can do to attempt to boost the search engine ranking of the post is to build a few incoming links to the post. Search engines see incoming links to a page as like a ‘vote’ - the more votes the higher it’ll rank (in general).

Note: The best type of incoming links are ‘relevant’ ones (ie from sites on a similar topic) and ones with the keywords that you’re trying to rank for in the link.

The first way to get some extra incoming links to the post is to link to it from your own blog/s. Find other posts on similar topics and link to this post from them. You don’t need to link to the post from every page on your blog - but do find at least a few other posts to link up to it from.

The second way to get extra incoming links is to submit the link to other bloggers. You might do this by pulling a few favors with other bloggers or by emailing them to suggest the post might be relevant to their readers. Don’t spam people and do keep the links relevant to the sites that you’re submitting them to - but any links you get can help give the post an extra boost.

Lastly - another source of links can be social media sites that you are active on. Even just tweeting the link in a relevant way to readers can add a little Google Juice. I’ll write more on social media sites in my next point.

4. Submit it to Social Media Sites

If the traffic to your post is coming from a social media site like Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit or Delicious you’ll need to act a little faster to optimize the post. I’ll suggest some ways to do this below - but first you might want to see if there are some ways that you can ‘help’ the post become even more viral on social media sites.

For example - if the post is on the front page of Digg there’s a chance that it could also be growing on StumbleUpon or Delicious. Check this out and vote up the post on those services. Send the links over to others to give it their vote too.

You might also like to add a link or button to the post itself if it’s doing well on social media. For example - if I notice a post is starting to build momentum on Digg I’ll add a Digg button to it. This can often be enough to tip it over the edge and onto the front page.

5. Add Options to Subscribe

This one is important whether the source of traffic is search engines, another site or social media as it focusses upon converting your new visitors to the page into ongoing readers of your blog.

When I have a ‘hot post’ I’ll often add a link to the post that says something like ‘enjoying this post - get more like it via our newsletter’ and link to a page giving the blog’s subscriptions options. These links can do very well at the end of posts.

6. Add links to the post to other pages on your blog

Drive people deeper into your blog by adding links to other pages on your site. You can do this within the content of the post itself or at the end of the post as ‘further reading’.

The key is to make the link to your best posts and to posts that are relevant in terms of content to the hot post.

7. Optimize Page Loading

Hopefully you won’t need to do this because your page will already be well optimized - but if you’re getting ALOT of traffic (for example from Digg or some other large site) your loading times might slow down - particularly if you have a lot of large files that need to load.

I learned this the first time I got on the front page of Digg on a photography related post where I had 20 large images that needed to load. The page didn’t crash but I burned through a heap of bandwidth that day and probably lost a lot of readers who got frustrated with the slow loading images.

8. Monetize the Post

Personally this is not something I do straight away as I like to work first upon converting readers into subscribers - however if you have one post with a lot of traffic it could be wise to add monetization streams to that post.

For example - if the post is doing a lot of impressions you might want to add some CPM ads to the page.

Another technique is to add relevant affiliate products to such ‘hot posts’.

I would avoid adding too many of these to hot posts as you could end up putting readers off. My personal approach is to monetize sites by converting people into regular readers and letting their continued visits to my blog make money over a longer period. Sure you might be able to earn a few extra dollars by stuffing such pages with CPM ads - but those visitors will be less likely to return in future.

9. Improve the Post

Some bloggers resist updating their blog posts - but I think it makes a lot of sense to not only add new posts to a blog but to improve old ones. I’m not just talking about editing posts for SEO benefits - but editing and adding to posts so that they become more valuable to readers.

Here’s the thing - if you’ve got a post that is attracting thousands of readers to it but it’s and ‘average’ quality post - you’ll have a lot better chance of converting readers to be loyal if the post is of an ‘excellent’ standard. So look over such hot posts and see if there are ways you can improve them.

10. Write More Posts Like it

Finally - we’re onto Keith’s question and the idea of writing more posts like the one that is ‘hot’.

I think that this is a good idea - on a number of levels.

• Extend Ideas - write an update to the post, or another one that takes the ideas to a new level.
• Related Topics - if there are other topics of a similar nature write posts on these.
• Target Other Related Keywords - write posts that target related keywords to those being searched for to find the first one.
• Similar Voice - sometimes it’s not the topic that you write that attracts people but the way you write it. For example I chatted to a blogger recently who had an avalanche of traffic to a humorous post that they’d written (the first time they’d ever written in that style). They began to write more of these types of posts and saw continued success with it.

If you write a followup or related post to the first - make sure you add a link to it on your hot post.
